SATURDAY, JUNE 21, 2025 Weekend Edition Route 66 Festival Brings People and Cars to Western Oklahoma By Sheryl Ponce The annual Route 66 Festival and Car Show took place last Saturday under a blazing sun in Ackley Park. There were participants from Western Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle that came to show off their classic car, truck, or motorcycle. This year the judging was done by the entries instead of separate local judges. While spectators came out to check out the car show, they were also able to get a bite or drink from the various food trucks. People were able to choose from B’s Drink Merc., Gloria’s Burritos & more, Heaven’s Kitchen Below, The Surf Bar, Tommy’s Palapa, Pacific Brim, Buckboard See FESTIVAL page X Eagle Scouts in their graduation robes that identifies their accomplishment, from left are Tyler Brooks, Cade Ellis and Dillon Baker.
